Acceptable Use Policy

Version 1 · Last updated 25 October 2026

This page is a template under legal review. Items in [square brackets] are placeholders that will be completed before it is final.

ContentMas sends a crawler to the websites you submit. This policy keeps that fair to site owners and to us. It forms part of our Terms of Service; breaking it can lead to blocked scans, suspension or account closure.

Scan only sites you are authorised to audit

  • Submit only websites you own or operate, or that you have the owner's permission to assess (for example as their agency or consultant).
  • Do not scan a site after its owner has asked you, or us, to stop.
  • Site owners who see unwanted ContentMasBot traffic can block it in robots.txt or ask us through our contact form to stop scans of their domain.

No attacks or abuse of the scanner

  • Do not use ContentMas to overload, disrupt or attack any website, or to probe for vulnerabilities beyond the passive checks we run.
  • Do not try to point the scanner at private networks, internal services or cloud metadata addresses, or to get around its safeguards.
  • Do not get around rate limits, page caps or other limits, for example by automating requests or rotating accounts or IP addresses.
  • Do not try to access other users' reports, guess share links, or test our own systems for weaknesses except as described in our vulnerability reporting process on Trust & compliance.

Fair use of reports and data

  • Do not resell, republish or redistribute report data in bulk, or build a competing database or service from it.
  • Do not scrape ContentMas pages or API, or use scripts or bots to run audits at scale, without our written agreement.
  • Do not remove ContentMas attribution from reports or present them as your own tool's output.

Protect our framework

The KPI catalogue, check definitions, weightings and scoring model are our proprietary property. Do not try to extract, copy, reverse engineer or reconstruct them, for example by systematically submitting crafted pages and collecting the results, decompiling our code, or harvesting recommendations in bulk.

Lawful use

Do not use ContentMas for anything illegal, to harass anyone, or to collect personal data from audited sites for spam or profiling.

Reporting misuse

Tell us about misuse, including unwanted scans of your site, through our contact form with the subject "Abuse". We may investigate, block domains or users, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
